TOEIC;

TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an international standardised test designed to measure a person's ability to understand English as it is used in international business and other professional situations. The TOEIC evaluates two main areas; a person's ability to understand English in real-life situations and a person's ability to read materials in English, such as advertisements, correspondence, articles, reports and forms etc.

The TOEIC is quite different from other tests such as the TOEFL, the GMAT and the GRE in that the TOEIC is designed to test on-the-job use of English in different job settings.

Most teachers recognize the value of the TOEIC in the evaluation of a student's progress in his/her English language studies. There is no passing score for the TOEIC but many companies in Japan are now requesting their English language speaking staff to have a TOEIC score of at least 650. This score is classed as “High Intermediate”.

We have developed a very successful method of teaching TOEIC and most students have seen a gradual but significant rise in their scores which, in some cases, has lead to their promotion in their existing employment or a successful transfer to a higher position in another company.
