Adult Students; |
Classes are available as follows
Private Lessons
|
: Many students (especially intermediate and advanced students) prefer one-to-one tuition. Each student has their lessons individually designed and tailored to meet their own, special needs and goals. |
Semi-Private Lessons
|
Some students come to the School accompanied by a friend and prefer a joint lesson with that friend. Although these lessons are not as specifically designed as the private lesson, they are, nevertheless, designed to meet the joint needs of the two students. |
 |
Group Lessons
|
We actively discourage group lessons of more than four students as we know that there is often an imbalance of students` ability and there is often one or two students whose ability (and needs!) differ from the others. This often leads to frustration and disappointment among the other students and is counter-productive. |

Students’ Level; |
We place our students into one of three distinct classes;
Elementary
|
This class is designed for those students who have only a basic knowledge of English (often partially remembered from high school!) and, especially for the private student , is specifically designed to lead the student from basic levels of English (grammar, vocabulary etc) step-by-step to achieve a much higher level and thus to progress onto the next level, intermediate . |
Intermediate
|
This class is suitable for those students who have a good command of spoken English but whose other skills (such as reading, writing, listening etc) are insufficient for their individual needs. TOEIC, phonics and other specialized subjects are also offered to students at this level. |
Advanced
|
At this level is found high school teachers who wish to improve their already-high level of English language, to thus pass on such knowledge to their own students. Business executives who must produce reports and correspondence, make speeches and presentations in English to an international audience. Senior civil servants working in the Ministries in Kasumigaseki who must improve their English to deal with the increase in globalization that is now facing Japan. |
These (and many other students) benefit from our Principal`s high quality teaching, not only of the English language as a whole but also of business English, “medical” English, phonics, management skills, presentational skills etc etc.
